Join BIG’s Regenerative Communities Program for an inspiring kickoff to 2025, exploring how regenerative and community-centered practices can build resiliency in challenging times.

​Amidst changing and uncertain times, we need to explore new ways of approaching the challenges we face. Regeneration offers a living systems approach to seeing the potential and promise in people and places to build more resilient and thriving communities. Join members of our inaugural cohort and the Regenerative Communities Program team to both hear reflections and harvest important insights and lessons learned that can help grow greater regeneration, equity, and collaboration.

It will introduce future training opportunities, answer questions, provide light networking time, and collect feedback on the local development landscape. IncDev Faculty will present core concepts of Incremental Development and facilitate connections among attendees, including potential future cohort members.

Fostering creative, community-driven approaches is key to transforming the housing landscape. That’s why we were excited to co-host the virtual event, “Mix & Match: Building Housing Solutions One Card at a Time,” featuring the designers of Mix & Match, Ben Hoffman, Junior Designer at LMNOP Designs, Inc., and Janette Kim, Principal at All of the Above. The event spotlighted the Mix & Match Toolkit, a board game that helps community members envision and create tailored housing solutions.

At Build It Green, along with PRE Collective, had an incredible time hosting the “Hidden Cost, Vital Opportunity: Unlocking Housing Through Equitable Infrastructure” event.

Our speakers delved into the complex history and current challenges of infill development in California, sharing impactful stories and innovative solutions. From a housing project in Berkeley that used SB 35 to Sacramento’s proactive infrastructure planning, the event underscored the importance of collaboration, innovation, and systemic change.
